Laser Tattoo Removal in Tampa, FL

ABOUT TATTOO REMOVAL

Nearly 30% of people in the U.S. have at least one tattoo. As many as 25% of those with a tattoo say they regret getting it. If you’re in that 25%, there is good news. Laser tattoo removal techniques can get rid of your unwanted tattoo with minimal side effects.

WHY DO PEOPLE CHOOSE TO REMOVE TATTOOS?

Some people grow beyond the tattoos they have and memories associated with them can be painful, or they simply no longer want them.  Tattoos may remind them of a past partner they wish to heal from, or past affiliations to groups they wish to move past. They may also, depending on placement, hold you back from advancing in a career you seek out.  If your tattoo is no longer significant to you and your current lifestyle, and you wish to move forward in life without it, laser tattoo removal is for you.

HOW IT WORKS

The way lasers can remove tattoos is by using a high-intensity light beam to break up pigment colors.  Different wavelengths are used for each color in the tattoo.  Black tatoos are the easiest color to treat because they absorb all wavelengths of lasers, but our highly skilled professional are trained to select lasers that will remove all colors.  ClearLift lasers operate with two completely different wavelengths to eliminate both dark and bright colors safely and effectively.

We will examine and evaluate your tattoo during your initial consultation to choose the best option for you.  Session number will be based on the age of your tattoo, as well as its size, colors used, and how deep the pigment of the tattoo is. Your natural skin color will also affect the removal treatment.

The ink particles will be broken down during treatment with no damage to your skin. Our energy lasers achieve a Photo-Acoustic effect with extremely short pulses to the area targeted. Your body will naturally remove the ink fragments from itself, which allows the tattoo to fade with very minimal risks of skin discoloration.

It does take several treatments to completely remove your tattoo, and it will get lighter after each treatment.

We use a topical numbing cream to keep the laser treatments tolerable and keep you comfortable during sessions.

You will receive an ice pack to sooth your skin right after the treatment.  It is important to avoid the sun for a week or more, and apply an ointment for a few days following each session.

Treatments with lasers are much safer than other options for tattoo removal, like dermabrasion or excision.  This is because the lasers selectively treat just the pigment in your tattoo.
